Movement of TeleStack equipment

Scotts Heavy Haulage has undertaken the transportation of TeleStack equipment, based in Omagh, Co Tyrone, for the past seven years.
Advance requirements for movement of the conveyor equipment include relevant transportation permits. Escorts may also be required.
This particular load was moved from the factory in Omagh to Belfast docks where it was shipped to Birkenhead and eventually taken to Barden Quarry near Hillhead, Derbyshire.
The job took two days to complete including overnight shipping. TeleStack equipment comes in different lengths and weights, this particular one weighing 45 tonnes and over 120 feet in entire length. Generally, the width of these machines is not an issue because they are just under nine feet in width.
The positioning of the axles on TeleStack equipment can be an issue because of the axle being aproximatly 20 feet away from the rear of the machiene; this can cause dangerous tailswing which has to observed by the persons involved in the transit of the machine at all times.
